How we look after information about your child, your family and visitors to this website.
We collect and hold information about the children in our care, some of which may come from a previous setting, the local authority or the Department for Education. This includes contact details, assessment results, attendance, personal characteristics, special educational needs and relevant medical information. We use it to support learning, track progress, provide care and check the quality of our service.
We will not give information about children to anyone without consent unless the law and our policies allow us to. Some information must be shared with the local authority and the Department for Education. We have signed Luton Borough Council’s information sharing agreement.
Concerns about a child’s welfare may be shared with or without consent where this is needed to prevent harm or crime, or where there is a significant risk.
Parents give written permission for photographs. Photos are taken on pre-school devices and used in each child’s Tapestry learning journal.
When you send an enquiry we store your name, contact details, your child’s name and date of birth, and the details you give us, so we can reply and manage our waiting list. We record that you gave consent and which page you contacted us from. We do not use your details for marketing. Enquiries that do not lead to a place are deleted after 24 months.

We only keep information for as long as we need it, then destroy it securely.
